The Celtics beat the University of Los Angeles Lakers last night in one of the worst games of the year, 115-95. Just an awful game to watch. The Lakers literally don’t try. The one thing that’s worth watching in these types of games is the improvement of Jaylen Brown, who finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
Brown caught an alley oop pass from Bradley in the 4th and made one of the most acrobatic plays I’ve ever seen on a basketball court. He caught the ball with his left hand, transferred it to his right hand in mid-air, banked it in and drew a foul. Jaylen Brown is gonna be a star next year.
Horford finished the game with 17, Isaiah had 18, and the Celts routed the Lakers. They were up by 30 at one point, and started fucking around and playing sloppy, letting LA get back to within 12, but they pulled away again and put this one to bed. Isaiah didn’t even play in the 4th quarter.
The Lakers have good, young talent, but they’re all dicks and it’s almost like they’re waiting for Lonzo Ball to come and pass the ball to them. The 2nd pick in the draft Brandon Ingram took two fucking shots this entire game.
So the Celtics start their 5 game road trip with an easy win, and they’ll face a little tougher of a test tomorrow in the desert against Phoenix, where they’ll play against the very solid backcourt of Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker.
